Polycystic Ovarian Disease or Syndrome (PCOD/PCOS) is the most widespread reproductive disorder afflicting women across all ages globally. Almost 1 in 10 women have PCOD and subsequently fertility issues. That’s how grave the condition is. And the problem is not just PCOD, but other complications related to it like – insulin resistance, weight gain, infertility and so on. Studies show that more than 50% of women with PCOD will have diabetes or pre-diabetes before the age of 40. 

With the number of women suffering from PCOD growing every year, it’s necessary to understand PCOD in a holistic way by identifying the root causes and risk factors so that there is a possibility of prevention and healing from this condition. Most women, when diagnosed with PCOD, are made to believe that they need to be on certain hormonal pills and contraceptives.
